Hi, I'm Rob, and I’m in the middle of renovating a house. The previous owner hadn’t changed much inside the house for decades. One of the first issues we had was how to handle the floors and walls – the house is full of tiled floors and, with a couple of bathrooms and a tiled kitchen, we felt like we were in tile overload. The thing is, we actually liked the original tiles; they were so old they gave a real retro chic feel to the place. But, all of the tiles were in a sorry state and we thought we’d have to strip them out. My wife decided to try to clean up the tiling to see if it could be saved so we tried some steam cleaning treatments. You can read about how that worked out in this blog if you're looking for some tile cleaning tips.
